Worshipful Master Frederick G. Irtz II instituted an Ugly Tie Contest for the 2008 year.

At each stated meeting members will compete to see who has the ugliest tie and the winner will be worn by the Worshipful Master at the next meeting. If no tie is found uglier than the winner of the previous meeting, the Worshipful Master will continue to wear the winner.
